What is a .pcb / .xzz file

PCB and XZZ files in repair are almost always XZZPCB boardviews (XinZhiZao). The parts and pins inside are encrypted with the format's fixed key, which BoardFix already has — the file opens like any other, with no key to enter. Nets, components and both sides of the board are all there.

How to open a .pcb file in BoardFix

  1. Create a free account — viewing boards is free on every plan.
  2. Press “Open board” and pick the file. A ZIP, RAR or 7z archive works too: it is unpacked on the server.
  3. Search a part or a net, click a pin to light up its net, flip between the two sides of the board.

What you see

Every component with its outline and reference designator, every pin with its number and net, both sides of the board, search across parts and nets. A PDF schematic opens alongside the board.

Limits

Occasionally an XZZ file is exported with a non-standard key. Then BoardFix says so and lets you paste that key; if you do not have it, the PDF schematic of the same board or the board in another format will work.

Ask about this board

The assistant answers about the board you have open: it reads its real components, pins and nets, so it names parts that exist on this board instead of guessing. Describe the symptom and your measurements — it says what to measure next. The AI has a free starting allowance; after that it needs a paid plan.
